Scottish player Russell made the starting XI after he found the back of the net twice during the Houston Dynamogame to become the first Sporting Kansas City player to score in five successive regular season matches since club legend Preki achieved the feat in the inaugural MLS football season for the club in 1996, while Salloi and Kinda were on the bench.
